In order to be a good presenter, you must keep in mind a few things. After watching Steve Jobs Stanford Commencement Speech from 2005, I have noticed a few things that he did to make his presentation better. Steve Jobs made sure to include personal stories in his speech. These helped him relate to the audience more and help them connect with him in a more personal way. Jobs also tried to inspire the audience, instead of talking at them and boring them with hard facts about his life. In the TED talk video that I watched, the speaker made their presentation more exciting by showing their passion for the topic. They were also very professional in the way they delivered their speeches. On Garr Reynolds website, I learned many useful things about making presentations and then presenting them. First when you are preparing your presentation, you must keep the end in mind, and also remember who your audience is and what the purpose of your presentation is. You also must remember to keep it simple and do not put too much information or useless facts in your presentation. Next, when designing a PowerPoint to go with your presentation, the website suggested to limit the amount of text on your slides to a very small amount. You want the star of the presentation to be you, not a PowerPoint filled with paragraphs of information. Finally, the website gives some tips on delivering your presentation. Some of these include keeping it short, making good eye contact and connecting with your audience, and to deliver it in a professional way.
